Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects and deviations from requirements.
• Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform regression testing after updates/patches to prevent new defects.
• Conduct functional, integration, system and UAT testing across platforms/environments.
• Document and report defects with clear reproduction steps and severity levels.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs and PMs to clarify testing scope.
• Verify fixes and ensure corrections are properly implemented.
• Participate in test case reviews and drive testing process improvements.
• Execute exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
• Maintain detailed records of testing activities, results and metrics.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems. As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for identifying defects, verifying fixes and validating that software meets specified requirements and user expectations. This position is instrumental in maintaining the high standards of quality that our clients depend on and contributes directly to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of end-users.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies and deviations from specified requirements


• Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications


• Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and patches do not introduce new defects


• Conduct functional, integration, system and user acceptance testing across various platforms and environments


• Document and report defects using tracking tools, providing clear descriptions, steps to reproduce and severity levels


• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project managers to understand requirements and clarify testing scope


• Verify bug fixes and validate that corrections have been properly implemented


• Participate in test case reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies


• Execute exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential usability issues


• Maintain detailed records of testing activities, test results and metrics for quality assurance reporting
