Microtop Philippines, Inc. is seeking a QA Assistant Manager to support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining the QMS and ensuring products meet customer requirements and standards.
The role drives continuous improvement and leads the QA team to uphold world-class manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in QA within manufacturing, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role, and strong ISO 9001 knowledge.
Microtop Philippines, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Assistant Manager to support the Quality Assurance Manager in leading the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring that all products consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality objectives. The QA Assistant Manager oversees quality assurance operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages customer quality concerns, and leads the QA team in maintaining world-class manufacturing standards.
Assist the QA Manager in planning, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Develop, review, and improve quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems and recommend improvements.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality inspection activities.
Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality requirements prior to shipment.
Review inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, CAPAs, and quality performance reports.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment.
Lead investigations and resolution of customer complaints and quality issues.
Coordinate with customers regarding quality concerns, corrective actions, and audit requirements.
Support supplier quality improvement activities and monitor supplier performance.
Participate in customer and supplier audits.
Lead Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, Pareto Analysis) for quality-related issues.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness.
Promote Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve process capability.
Monitor quality KPIs such as customer complaints, PPM, first-pass yield, rejection rates, and cost of poor quality.
Supervise QA Supervisors, QA Engineers, Inspectors, and other QA personnel.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure employee development.
Conduct quality-related training and competency development programs.
Ensure effective manpower planning and resource allocation within the QA Department.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Maintenance to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and engineering change implementation.
Prepare quality reports and present quality performance during management meetings.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), environmental regulations, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Perform other duties assigned by the QA Manager or Top Management.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or any related engineering or technical course.
At least 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
Experience in plastic injection molding, precision manufacturing, automotive, electronics, or related industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or other quality standards is an advantage.
Experienced in quality tools including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, PPAP, and CAPA.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
Willing to work in Laguna Technopark, Biñan City, Laguna.
