Job summary

IT Managers Inc. in the Philippines seeks a project-based QA professional with strong testing expertise to review requirements, create test scenarios and cases, and execute functional, SIT and regression testing.

You will document test scripts, collaborate with development teams, and participate in troubleshooting and triaging across multiple teams, with a focus on SQL, data pipelines and ETL testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Proficient in SQL; able to create/read scripts.
• Experience in data and ETL pipeline testing.
• Ability to estimate and provide status updates on automation scripts.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and other project documentation for tests to be developed.
• Create test scenarios and test cases and brainstorm with Team and BA.
• Execute all test cases (Functional, SIT, and Regression), and participate in UAT.
• Document scripts with comments to explain test logic.
• Collaborate with Development to capture and unit test results.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with different teams.

About the role

This is a project-based role requiring a professional with strong testing expertise to review requirements, specifications, and project documentation, create comprehensive test scenarios and cases, and execute functional, SIT, and regression testing. The role involves collaborating with development teams, documenting test scripts, and participating in troubleshooting and issue triaging across different teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation and other project documentation for the tests to be developed
• Create test scenarios and test cases and brainstorm with Team and BA
• Execute all the test cases (Functional, SIT and Regression), also participate in UAT
• Document scripts with comments to provide insight to test logic
• Work with the Development team to capture and Unit Test results
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams

About you

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• At least 8 to 10 years of working experience in the related field
• Good understanding of SDLC process and Testing Methodologies
• Knowledgeable in SQL (can create and understand) scripts
• Proven experience in data and ETL pipeline testing
• Good experience in providing estimates and status updates on automation scripts
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good presentation skills
• Able to work independently
• Knowledgeable in Postman + Azure Data Factory / Azure Databricks (Nice to have)
