Job summary

CAI in the Philippines is seeking a QA Team Lead to steer test automation strategy using Playwright, AI-powered testing tools, and modern dev practices. This full-time hybrid role supports global markets from Makati City, requiring hands-on leadership and strong collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers.

You will design scalable automated tests, mentor teams, integrate AI-driven testing into CI/CD pipelines, and focus on security, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering
• Hands-on experience in test automation with Playwright and AI-powered testing tools
• Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools for testing (e.g., test case generation, defect prediction)
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and modern development frameworks/languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python)
• Understanding of web app architectures, security best practices, and performance testing
• Experience designing scalable automated tests with Playwright
• Experience leveraging AI/ML tools for testing purposes
• Proficient in developing testing solutions in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java

Responsibilities

• Establish robust testing frameworks and best practices centered around Playwright and AI-enhanced testing tools
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for web applications
• Mentor QA and engineering teams on test automation and AI tool integration
• Integrate AI-driven testing solutions into the CI/CD pipeline
• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI tools for test generation, defect prediction, and intelligent test execution
• Focus on scalability, security, performance, and reliability of testing frameworks
• Analyze testing metrics and improve automation coverage
• Stay updated on AI and web testing frameworks to improve practices
• Provide accurate estimates in collaboration with product teams
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
