Job Summary:
The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the project site complies with the Quality Management System and applicable ISO standards. The role oversees quality control activities, project documentation, material inspections and approvals, and the implementation of corrective actions to ensure that project quality requirements and specifications are properly met.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the implementation of assigned corrective actions based on project incident reports.
Conduct audits of complete project documentation in accordance with the QA/QC Manual.
Maintain and archive project quality records and documentation.
Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Project Quality Plans (PQP), and material costing for bidding purposes when required.
Check the completeness of inspection checklists for materials delivered to the Head Office and ensure compliance with specifications.
Review specification requirements and facilitate material approval for fixed items, including mill certificates and quality records from suppliers.
Check and review Work Method Statements (WMS) and material inspection procedures to ensure that required inspections and parameters are properly implemented.
Review the Project Quality Plan and ITP to ensure that materials have appropriate specification references and written acceptance criteria.
Research and analyze project findings and quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Visit quarry sites and submit quality test results for project materials used for material sourcing.
Conduct in-house training/webinars on assigned QA/QC topics.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC reports, inspection reports, material approval forms, and other required quality records.
Monitor the Inspection Report and Nonconformance Report status and corrective actions for each project.
Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager, Project Manager, Purchasing Manager, Estimators, and other concerned personnel regarding quality-related requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
Must be a Materials Engineer II (ME II).
Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in the construction industry.
Knowledge of QA/QC policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control standards.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Knowledge of chemical composition, structure, properties of substances, and chemical processes.
Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively, both oral and written.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation and reports.
Willing to work onsite/project-based as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in construction QA/QC or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Project Quality Plans (PQP), Work Method Statements (WMS), and material approval processes.
Experience in materials inspection, testing, and quality documentation.
Knowledge of ISO-based Quality Management Systems.
Experience in conducting quality audits and inspections.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple quality-related activities and deadlines.
