JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides first aid and immediate medical assistance to employees in the event of an illness or injury due to undesired event.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Observe and assess workers, staff and the work environment for health hazard/risk.
Monitor and secure supply of first aid kits and medicines at site.
Manage occupational and non-occupational illness and injury.
Administer first aid to prepare patient’s transfer to the nearest hospital for further treatment as and when required.
Interpretation and/or relaying of medical diagnosis and treatment of patient to his/her supervisor.
Document cases of injury and illness and the necessary interventions to prevent recurrence or minimize the impact of such.
Provide health teachings to patients/staff with health concerns.
Provide necessary data to supplement in the monthly report.
Provide additional information relating to infectious and communicable diseases, develop and promote health program.
Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Nurse
Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office Applications.
Has successfully completed the required DOLE training course for occupational health nurse (OHNAP-BOSH).
At least 3 years' experience in occupational health or the like is preferred.
