Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a QA Performance Tester to join our dynamic testing and quality assurance team. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Metro Manila. As a QA Performance Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our applications and systems perform optimally under various conditions and load scenarios. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other performance-related issues. This role is essential to delivering reliable, high-performing products to our clients and maintaining Seven Seven Global Services' reputation for quality excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive performance test plans and test cases for applications, systems, and infrastructure

• Execute performance tests using industry-standard tools and frameworks to evaluate system behaviour under normal, peak, and stress conditions

• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics including response times, throughput, resource utilization, and scalability

• Identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other issues that may impact system reliability and user experience

• Document test results, findings, and recommendations in clear, concise reports

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimization strategies

• Participate in performance testing across different environments, including development, staging, and production-like systems

• Stay current with performance testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices

• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to promote team development (for senior-level candidates)

• Provide technical guidance and support during software development lifecycle activities related to performance validation

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• 2-5 years of experience in QA performance testing, load testing, or related roles (exact experience level depends on seniority level applied for)

• Proficiency with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar platforms

• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices

• Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar)

• Knowledge of application performance indicators (APIs), database performance, and web server optimization

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD processes

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is highly desirable

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous

• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred
