Job summary

Xogito Group is seeking a dedicated QA Manual Tester to join our quality assurance team for a fixed 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM ET remote schedule. This role targets professionals in Latin America or the Philippines who can commit to the listed hours and contribute to diverse client projects.

You will execute comprehensive manual test plans, design test cases, and collaborate with development teams to ensure software quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in manual software testing
• Strong understanding of STLC and QA processes
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (JIRA, TestRail)
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, UAT, etc.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and testing in iterative environments
• Strong documentation skills for test cases and bug reports
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman

Responsibilities

• Professionals in the Philippines who prefer an early-morning shift: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM PHT (3:00 AM – 11:00 AM PHT during US Daylight Saving Time, March to November)

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated QA Manual Tester to join our quality assurance team on a fixed 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM ET schedule, focusing exclusively on comprehensive manual testing processes. The tester will work on various client projects, executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver exceptional software solutions. You will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality through systematic manual testing approaches and contribute to the overall success of our diverse project portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Design, develop, and maintain detailed test cases and testing documentation
• Perform thorough exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues
• Execute mobile application testing across different devices and operating systems
• Validate user interfaces for functionality, usability, and visual consistency
• Perform data validation and database testing procedures
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide testing insights during planning phases
• Execute API testing using manual testing tools and techniques
• Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with accessibility standards
• Perform load and stress testing validation from user perspective
• Maintain test environments and coordinate testing activities with project timelines
• Generate comprehensive test reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders

Required Experience & Knowledge

Mandatory:

• 3+ years of professional experience in manual software testing
• Proven expertise in manual testing methodologies, test case design, and execution
• Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and QA processes
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)
• Knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT, etc.)
• Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and testing in iterative development environments
• Strong documentation skills for creating detailed test cases and bug reports
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST clients)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with mobile application testing (iOS/Android)
• Knowledge of database testing and basic SQL queries
• Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and standards (WCAG)
• Experience with performance testing from user perspective
• Experience with e-commerce or fintech application testing
• Basic understanding of security testing principles

• Testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are a strong plus
