Job summary

Atlanta Industries Incorporated is seeking an experienced QA professional to lead quality control across incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products. You will document QA processes, ensure robust inspections, and coordinate with production and R&D for quality compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to drive corrective actions while mentoring QA staff and aligning with company safety policies.

Qualifications

• College graduate, preferably in engineering.
• At least five years of QA experience in a plastic manufacturing environment.
• Diligent with strong attention to detail and planning.
• Strong leaderships and management capabilities.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements a Quality Control Plan.
• Sets inspection criteria for incoming materials, in-process and finished products.
• Performs qualification, evaluation and testing of new products and coordinates corrective actions.
• Recommends mass production after passing quality tests.
• Approves non-conforming products after review by Production Head.
• Attends Material Review Board meetings and makes observations/recommendations.
• Ensures QA Inspectors meet qualification requirements.
• Maintains calibration program for lab equipment.
• Prepares monthly summaries of KRAs/KPIs.
• Issues and manages supplier corrective action reports.
• Coordinates test control plans with R&D/Technical teams.
• Coaches and mentors direct reports.
• Reviews documents and updates QA processes.
• Addresses customer quality-related complaints with relevant departments.
• Identifies training needs for QA staff and conducts technical training.
• Monitors attendance and handles chronic tardiness.
• Tracks subordinate performance and supports development plans.
• Ensures compliance with company safety, HR policies, and disciplinary actions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
