Job summary

Coherent Corp. invites a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Laguna site onsite. You will ensure materials and finished products meet quality and safety standards, perform visual and measurement tests, and approve in-process and outgoing materials.

You will maintain inspection logs, report non-conformances, and collaborate with Process/Maintenance Engineering to drive improvements. At least 1 year in quality inspection is preferred; we value integrity, teamwork, and timely, accurate

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in process Quality Inspector (functional skills).
• Experience complying with quality management systems and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials and finished products meet quality and safety standards.
• Approve outgoing materials and conduct visual and measurement tests; reject non-conforming materials.
• Approve in-process production and communicate adjustments to Process/Maintenance Engineering.
• Maintain and publish an inspection log; document defects and rejections; alert management to quality issues.
• Report non-conforming material or product and hold production if high failure rate is detected.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that everything from raw materials to finished products meets quality and safety standards specified in the documentations.
• Approves outgoing materials that conforms to specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production that conforms to the specification; conducting visual and measurement tests; performs in-process audit; communicating required adjustments to Process/ Maintenance Engineering.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and ensuring that all materials are meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Maintaining and publishing an inspection log, detailing findings of types of defects and number of parts rejected; alerting management to quality problems.
• Collects and consolidates all the reject units produced by production process on a defined frequency. Document in the Quality Database and safekeep all reject units from the production area.
• Report Any non-conforming material/Product and hold production for any high failure rate due to quality

Education & Experience

• its equivalents with at least1 years of relevant work experience in process Quality Inspector (functional skills)
