Job Description
- Direct the work of quality assurance staff involved in evaluating incoming materials and products during production process.
- Develops quality assurance procedures and analyzes data from the inspection report through the use of statistical process control charts and other ways of conducting analyzes.
- Resolves quality problem and non-conformance to standards as they are revealed through inspection procedures.
- Works with purchasing team in evaluating suppliers for compliance to quality standards, data from quality control inspection can identify concerns with suppliers or materials used in the production.
- Schedule the work of staff and ensure that production department have regular audits of their processes and systems to produce finished goods within standards.
- Spearheads the implementation of the HACCP plan, GMP, SSOP, to ensure compliance with the set standards involved in critical Control Points.
- Conducts meetings, demonstrations, consultations, training and refresher courses as required, in coordination with Production Head and Chief Operating Officer.
- Monitors compliance to FDA and other government requirements for the attainment of minimum compliance of the law.
- Submits regular monthly reports to superior on Supplier’s Raw Materials and finished goods Quality Profile and other pertinent information to aid in management decision-making.
- Familiarizes self with inspection processes and procedures as well as tests and measuring equipment used during quality inspection.
- Exercises administrative control and supervision over the Quality Assurance team under his/her responsibility including the enforcement of company policies with respect to Employee performance, training, job movements, discipline, motivating employees for peak performance, and other personnel matters.
- Maintain an orderly filing system of all pertinent documents of the department for easy retrieval when needed.
- Keeps abreast of the company’s business goals and directions.
- Conducts plant visit to San Pablo, Bulacan and Pampanga at least two (2) times a month to review the processes and standard are aligned.
- Participates in company-initiated programs, seminars and trainings.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
Job Qualifications
Education : Preferably College Graduate of Food Technology, Engineering
graduates (I.e Industrial or Chemical Engineering) is an advantage
Experience : 5 years prior experience in Manufacturing, with relevant work experience in Preferably experience in QA / QC function in the food
industry. Well-versed in ISO/HACCP implementation.
Special Skills : Team player with excellent report writing skills, excellent analytical abilities to grasp key points from complicated details, with good leadership capabilities to lead projects to successful completion.
