Job summary

Amadeus Marketing Phils, Inc. seeks a QA Engineer II to drive manual and automated testing of Java backend applications in travel. You will design test cases, execute them, and contribute to quality processes within CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, hands-on QA experience with Selenium and Cypress, and familiarity with Agile, regression, and performance testing.

Excellent problem solving and communication are essential.

• Manage defects by reporting, investigating, and verifying fixes to ensure production quality.

Job Title QA Engineer II (Java based Manual and Automated Testing) About

The Role

In today’s hyper-competitive travel industry, Loyalty is no longer just a program, it is the engine that drives customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Validate core Amadeus backend applications, identifying functional issues early in the development cycle to prevent them from reaching production. The responsibilities include reviewing specifications, designing test cases, and creating manual and automated scripts. Additionally, the role focuses on defining, implementing, and rolling out new quality processes.

The tooling environment includes distributed systems.

In This Role

You’ll Leverage technical and functional expertise to contribute to testing strategies, ensuring alignment with Amadeus' business and quality standards. Participate in specification and architecture reviews, providing feedback on risks and gaps.

Define different test strategies, plans and cases functional and non functional), ensuring traceability with requirements Design and execute test cases, validate features, and provide go or no go decisions based on exit criteria. Maintain and optimize test cases in regerssion and CI/CD pipelines, addressing flaky tests and adding/removing cases as needed.

Assess and implement test automation, contributing to the improvement of frameworks. Manage defects by reporting, investigating, and verifying fixes, ensuring production quality. Report on testing progress and milestones, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

About The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

Experience in QA or software testing, with experience in both manual and automated testing Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium and Cypress Exposure doing regression, functional, performance, Unit testing
