Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking an Automation Engineer to join a flexible, collaborative product team working on the Jury Management Solution. You will develop and maintain automated test flows, strengthen QA frameworks, and ensure our products meet functional and security expectations.

The role emphasizes learning the product, planning test criteria with the team, and communicating findings to development. A Diploma or Bachelor’s in CS is preferred. Remote-friendly options may be available.

• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and report findings to developers.
• Participate in planning to define test criteria for new features.
• Document defects in Jira and communicate with teams.
• Suggest new QA procedures and tools to improve efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will work in a flexible, friendly, and collaborative product team consisting of product analysts, designers, and developers. You’ll get to work on the industry’s top-selling Jury Management Solution, which spans our suite of Jury products.

As an Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the team’s senior automation engineer, develop and maintain reliable automated test flows, strengthen our automation frameworks, and help ensure our products meet functional, security, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Fully learn all features of our products.


• Plan, design, execute, and maintain well-structured test scripts.


• Develop, implement, and maintain complex test automation scripts using Microsoft Playwright, API testing tools, and other automation frameworks.


• Conduct functional, regression, load, and exploratory testing while assisting with automation efforts.


• Analyze software issues, determine root causes, and provide detailed reports to the development team.


• Actively participate in planning and requirement review meetings to define test criteria for new features.


• Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira, proactively communicating findings to development teams.


• Help identify and implement new procedures, methods, and tools that improve QA efficiency.


• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• You have a strong track record of software quality assurance/testing, including but not limited to writing automated end-to-end tests using JavaScript, HTML, and SQL with an automated test tools and frameworks.
