Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance and control team in Makati City, Metro Manila. You will design and maintain automated testing solutions for software, systems and manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and reliability across operations.

The role requires 3-5 years in QA automation or software testing, proficiency with Selenium and at least one programming language, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance CI/CD and test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in QA automation engineering or software testing roles.
• Proficiency with at least one automation tool (Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress).
• Solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with functional and non-functional testing (performance, security, compatibility).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks for software, systems and manufacturing processes.
• Execute automated and manual tests to identify defects and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with development teams, product managers and stakeholders to define test strategies.
• Maintain and update automation frameworks to stay compatible with evolving tech.
• Analyze results and document findings with root-cause analysis and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize testing and boost automation coverage in manufacturing and logistics.
• Support CI/CD by integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Participate in QA reviews and help develop standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test automation issues promptly.

About the role:

NCS Philippines is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance and control team. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing and logistics operations by developing and maintaining automated testing solutions. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining operational efficiency across our manufacturing and transport processes.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing, developing and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software, systems and manufacturing processes
• Executing automated and manual test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies and areas for improvement
• Collaborating with development teams, product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and define comprehensive test strategies
• Maintaining and updating test automation frameworks to ensure compatibility with evolving systems and technologies
• Analysing test results and creating detailed documentation of findings, including root cause analysis and recommendations
• Identifying opportunities to optimise testing processes and enhance automation coverage across manufacturing and logistics operations
• Supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests
• Participating in quality assurance reviews and contributing to the development of best practices and standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving test automation issues in a timely manner

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in QA automation engineering or software testing roles
• Strong proficiency in at least one test automation tool or framework (such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress or similar)
• Solid understanding of programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, C# or JavaScript
• Experience with both functional and non-functional testing (performance, security, compatibility)
• Familiarity with manufacturing or logistics industry processes is highly desirable
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration practices (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to team objectives
