Job summary

Hexagon Group of Companies is seeking a QA & Compliance Supervisor to oversee quality, safety, legality, and regulatory compliance of cold storage operations. You will lead the development, implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement of the QMS, including sanitation, traceability, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires 5–7 years QA experience in cold storage or FMCG, supervisory experience, and preferably HACCP/Lead Auditor certification. Balagtas, Bulacan will be the assigned site.

Qualifications

• Bachelora0s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• 57 years QA experience in cold storage, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in QA or food safety.
• Preferably with Food Safety Certification (HACCP / Lead Auditor / RFO).
• Incumbent will be assigned in Balagtas, Bulacan.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee QA, compliance, and food safety programs (HACCP/FSMS/GSDP/SSOP) for cold storage.
• Lead internal audits, CAPA, and documentation to ensure regulatory readiness.
• Monitor traceability, product integrity, and recall readiness.

Job description

The QA & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, legality, and compliance of cold storage operations with food safety standards (HACCP/FSMS), ISO 9001:2015 QMS, GSDP/SSOP, and regulatory requirements such as NMIS, BFAR, FDA, DOLE, BPI and DENR. This role leads the development, implementation, documentation, auditing, monitoring, and improvement of the Quality Management System, including sanitation, product integrity, traceability, regulatory reporting, and internal/external audits. The QA & Compliance Supervisor ensures zero food safety incidents, 100% regulatory compliance, and audit-readiness at all times, supporting customer assurance and operational excellence.

Duties And Responsibilities

Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Implement and oversee HACCP, FSMS, GSDP, SSOP, and cold-chain compliance programs.
• Ensure full compliance with NMIS, BFAR, FDA, LGU, and other food regulatory bodies.
• Approve release of cold storage areas after sanitation and verification.
• Conduct sensory evaluation when necessary for compromised products.

QMS Development, Documentation & Audit Management

• Maintain QMS procedures, SOPs, Work Instructions, and controlled forms.
• Plan and lead internal audits, prepare audit reports, and execute CAPA.
• Lead Management Review documentation activities.
• Maintain controlled document registry and version management.

Inspection, Verification & Traceability

• Conduct product inspections at inbound, storage, and outbound stages.
• Ensure MIC and COMI documentation compliance and traceability accuracy.
• Implement sampling, temperature checks, and contamination risk assessments.
• Monitor cold chain integrity (product/pallet condition, expiry control, FEFO).

Sanitation & Hygiene Management

• Supervise daily sanitation activities inside cold rooms, docks, and common areas.
• Implement and inspect pest control records, sanitation plans, and microbe control.
• Ensure proper PPE use, hygiene standards, and SSOP validation.

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement

• Investigate NCRs, deviations, customer complaints, and product damages.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive actions.
• Maintain Non-Conformance Logs and Food Safety Alerts. 5.4. Conduct trend analysis and recommend improvements to reduce recurrence.

Training & Employee Competency

• Conduct required training for food safety, GSDP/SSOP, hygiene, and QMS.
• Maintain training matrix and employee certification compliance.
• Support onboarding of new operational personnel for quality compliance orientation.

Coordination with NMIS / BFAR / FDA & Customers

• Facilitate regulatory inspections and ensure submission of required documentation.
• Support customer audits and provide complete compliance records.
• Manage corrective actions from regulatory findings and audit closures.
• Reporting & KPI Governance 8.1. Track and report key Quality KPIs: Non-compliance incidents; Food safety deviations; Audit findings & closure rate 8.1.4. Sanitation performance; Traceability accuracy (MIC/COMI); Prepare reports as required by regulatory agencies.
• Submit weekly and monthly QA performance reports to the GM.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years QA experience in cold storage, food manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in QA or food safety
