Job summary

BillingPlatform is seeking a senior QA Engineer to join our fast-growing SaaS team in the Philippines. You will test all aspects of our FinTech applications, perform functional, automated, security, and performance testing, and collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure quality.

The role requires 5+ years in QA, solid SDLC understanding, and hands-on automation with Java or Groovy; Selenium and Spock are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience in FinTech.
• Experience with SDLC and web testing.

• Proficiency in Java or Groovy.

Responsibilities

• Test upgrades, patches, and enhancements in production-like environments.
• Perform functional, automated, security, performance, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) per approved test plans.
• Report, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Assist in standardizing testing processes and improve testing efficiency.
• Identify and elevate risks that may impact delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, senior managers, and business users.
• Develop and maintain test deliverables, including test plans and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Test all aspects of assigned applications to ensure upgrades, patches, and enhancements are fully compatible and operate effectively in production environments.
• Execute component, system, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) in alignment with approved test cases and test plans.
• Report, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Assist in standardizing testing processes and methodologies and recommend improvements to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
• Identify and elevate risks encountered during testing that may impact delivery timelines.
• Conduct various testing types, including functional, automated, security, performance, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, senior managers, and business users.
• Develop and maintain test deliverables, including test plans, strategies, test cases, reports, and defect management documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience in FinTech software testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern testing methodologies, particularly for web applications.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and defect-tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Proficiency in Java or Groovy programming languages.
• Knowledge of Selenium and the Spock Framework is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in defect triage, escalation management, and conducting thorough root cause investigations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Management.
• Availability to work within the United States Mountain Standard Time (MST) time zone.
