Job summary

Nexus International School (Singapore) invites applications for a Primary School Teacher and PYP Coordinator. The role collaborates with the Primary Leadership team to drive PYP planning, curriculum development, and cross-team coordination, while modelling the Nexus Way in practice.

Qualifications

• A degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent).
• Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred).
• Evidence of continued professional development, including IB training.
• Experience with teaching PYP (5+ years preferred).
• Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs, especially EAL.
• Understanding of all PYP publications.
• Practical and theoretical understanding of effective learning and teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support the IB programme implementation in the PYP.
• Ensure PYP teaching staff receive ongoing training.
• Develop and review curriculum documents (POI, scope & sequence).
• Support PDPs and the school’s strategic development plan.
• Assist with documentation for evaluations.
• Set up systems for communication and collaboration among staff.
• Promote IB PYP communication to the school and stakeholders.
• Promote use of MyIB within the school community.
• Involve in whole-school events and activities.
• Teach across the Primary School to release Middle Leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
