Job summary

DN BETTER EARTH NEW ENERGY CORPORATION is seeking a PV Design Engineer to assess sites, create layouts, and model electrical systems for solar installations. You will generate drawings, perform calculations and ensure safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration with clients and engineers is essential.

The role requires hands-on design work, familiarity with PVsyst, Helioscope and AutoCAD, and a proactive approach to stay current with PV technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Proven PV system design experience or related electrical engineering field.
• Proficiency with PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate solar potential and determine optimal system configurations.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and layout plans for PV installations.
• Perform electrical calculations and system modelling to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet project specifications.
• Review and analyze system performance data to optimize designs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure all designs comply with electrical codes, building standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and specifications for installation and commissioning teams.
• Stay current with emerging PV technologies, design methodologies and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support during the installation and testing phases of projects.

What we're looking for

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design and power distribution

• Knowledge of solar radiation analysis and site assessment methodologies
