Job summary

Lgosoft Corporation is seeking a Procurement Officer to source reliable suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate favorable terms to ensure best quality, price, and delivery.

You will collaborate with Operations, Project, and Engineering teams to understand requirements, manage supplier accreditation, and maintain supplier relationships with integrity.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing reliable suppliers and contractors, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring that materials, equipment, and services are procured at the best possible quality, price, and delivery conditions. The role requires strong supplier-searching skills, sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to build and maintain trustworthy supplier relationships.

The Procurement Officer will work closely with the Operations, Project, Engineering, and other departments to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement of project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and identify reliable suppliers and contractors through market research, supplier databases, referrals, industry networks, and other appropriate channels.
  • Search for new and alternative suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, availability, quality, and reliable delivery.
  • Request and obtain quotations, proposals, product specifications, and other necessary supplier information.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, technical capability, lead time, payment terms, capacity, reputation, and reliability.
  • Prepare and analyze comparative evaluations of quotations and provide clear recommendations to management.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Develop and maintain professional and trustworthy relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Conduct appropriate supplier screening and verification to ensure that suppliers are legitimate, reliable, financially and operationally capable, and compliant with company requirements.
  • Maintain complete and organized supplier accreditation documents, including business permits, certifications, company profiles, and other required records.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure that orders accurately reflect approved quotations and agreed terms.
  • Monitor supplier commitments, deliveries, and outstanding purchase orders and coordinate with concerned departments when issues arise.
  • Regularly monitor market prices and update material costs and supplier pricing to support accurate project costing and purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Project, Accounting, and other departments regarding procurement requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Handle supplier and contractor correspondence, inquiries, and commercial concerns professionally.
  • Resolve purchasing and supplier issues through effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty, and integrity when dealing with suppliers, quotations, pricing, and company purchasing information.
  • Identify potential procurement risks, supply issues, and cost-saving opportunities and report them to management.
  • Perform other procurement-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supplier management; experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
  • Background in technical procurement, construction materials, equipment, or contractor sourcing is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to search, identify, and develop reliable suppliers.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, particularly in comparing quotations and evaluating supplier proposals.
  • Good understanding of purchasing processes, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier accreditation.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and capable of finding alternative suppliers and solutions when needed.
  • Trustworthy, honest, and professional, with strong ethical standards when handling company funds, supplier relationships, confidential pricing, and purchasing decisions.
  • Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with different departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for quotation comparisons, cost monitoring, and procurement reports.
