Job Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator II is responsible for supporting the procurement and supply chain process by actively monitoring purchase order (PO) status, engaging with suppliers and buyers, and ensuring accurate and timely updates of delivery commitments within company systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining material availability and improving on-time delivery performance through proactive follow-up and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track purchase order status to ensure timely supplier responses and delivery commitments.
• Follow up on unconfirmed purchase orders and obtain supplier acknowledgments.
• Engage with suppliers regarding open orders, delivery commitments, shortages, and shipment status.
• Coordinate with buyers to resolve PO-related issues and support supply continuity.
• Update and maintain accurate promise dates and order status in Oracle and E2Open systems.
• Escalate critical supply issues, delays, or risks to appropriate stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely system updates to support reporting and operational decision-making.
• Support KPI objectives related to supplier responsiveness, delivery performance, and order management.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other procurement and expediting-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain processes is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Experience with Oracle, E2Open, or similar ERP systems is an advantage but not required.
