Job summary

Frabelle Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking a Purchasing Associate to source, procure, and manage materials, supplies, equipment, and third-party services for its operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition while maintaining supplier relationships.

You will support multiple departments, process purchase orders, monitor deliveries in SAP, and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, while upholding procurement policies and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
• Preferably 1 year of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure trade marketing, Gen Trade, office, and lab supplies.
• Coordinate with suppliers for quotes, deliveries, and lead times.
• Create and manage purchase orders; monitor status in SAP.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and service levels with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and document management.
• Maintain supplier relationships and performance tracking.
• Coordinate with R&D, QA, IT, and operations for material requirements.

Position Overview

Purchasing Associate is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing a wide range of materials, supplies, equipment, and third-party services required for the company’s operations. This role ensures the timely acquisition of quality products and services at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with company procurement policies. The position supports various departments, including Trade Marketing, General Trade, R&D, QA, Engineering, IT, and Operations, through effective purchasing, supplier management, purchase order processing, and delivery monitoring.

Position Overview

Purchasing Associate is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing a wide range of materials, supplies, equipment, and third-party services required for the company’s operations. This role ensures the timely acquisition of quality products and services at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with company procurement policies. The position supports various departments, including Trade Marketing, General Trade, R&D, QA, Engineering, IT, and Operations, through effective purchasing, supplier management, purchase order processing, and delivery monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Buyer of Trade Marketing and Gen Trade Office Supplies and Advertising Materials, Office and PPE’S Uniform (FBC), Indonesian Coal and other consumable supplies for R&D and QA Dept.
• Sourcing Third party services for food analysis (Physico, Microbiological, Nutritional Analysis), Emission Testing for Boiler, Engineering Wastewater Analysis, and Hazardous Waste Services such as Sludge.
• Buyer of Consumables – crushed ice, packaging tape, barcode sticker, stretch film
• Buyer of Office Furnitures and supplier
• Buyer of R&D & QA Lab supplies
• Buyer of IT requirements
• Canvassing
• Creation of Purchase Order
• Monitoring of Deliveries and Test Result
• Monitoring of Delivery schedule from SAP
• Creation of Purchase Order for Raw Mats such as Meat and Import Ingredients
• Process Purchase Requisition
• Outsource supplier that can provide good services and negotiated prices
• Requesting sample from Supplier
• Maintain good relationship with the suppliers
• Request quotation and ensure price differences, check, and evaluate
• Negotiate Price and payment terms
• Creation of Canvass sheet
• Check status of Delivery from SAP to ensure all the requested items are delivered and no pending
• Make sure to deliver the items on expected delivery schedule or make sure to align with the Requestor if the items will be delay for delivery
• Monitor third party lab test, follow up R&D and QA for Pick up sample and check status of result, including Engineering request
• Monitor claims and follow up supplier

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Any Business Course or Equivalent

Experience

Preferably with at least 1-year related working experience.
