Job summary

MatchaTalent leads the search for an experienced Associate Public Affairs Director for a confidential client in Taguig City, Philippines. The role focuses on government relations, regulatory strategy, licensing support, and public policy initiatives within a highly regulated digital financial services sector.

The successful candidate will liaise with executive leadership, Legal, Compliance, and Operations while maintaining relationships with regulators and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 8–12 years in government relations or public policy.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and executive-level communication.
• Strong network with Philippine regulators and ability to navigate regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute government relations, regulatory affairs, and public policy strategy.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, legislators, and industry associations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (SEC, BSP, CIC, NPC, NBI, PNP) and policy makers.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting digital lending and financial services.
• Advise executives on regulatory risks, licensing, and policy developments.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to ensure AML, data privacy, and consumer protection alignment.
• Lead engagement initiatives, regulatory communications, and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop crisis communication plans for regulatory or public affairs issues.
