Job summary

Hedcor, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Planning, Design and Protection Engineer in Beckel, Baguio City, Philippines to conceptualize and design protection, automation and control systems and monitor implementation.

This role supports the renewal energy portfolio and collaborates with the Electrical Planning, Design and Protection Team to deliver reliable power systems. As part of Central Asset Reliability Solutions, you will develop protective schemes, run fault analyses, and ensure settings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in protection, automation and control of power systems.
• Experience designing protection for substations, switchyards, and transmission lines; protective relay testing.
• Knowledge of protection system specifications, coordination, and automation.
• Ability to supervise field engineers and monitor site activities.
• Proven project management, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts power system fault analysis using simulation tools to anticipate abnormal/fault conditions and determine protective solutions.
• Conceptualizes and designs protection systems for new and expansion projects.
• Prepares protection settings and coordination studies.
• Performs relay setting laboratory simulations and updates results.
• Evaluates pre-wired protection and control diagrams for outsourced projects.
• Coordinates with project engineers and monitors site inspections and testing.
• Provides technical specifications to Purchasing and supports procurement.
• Maintains and updates protection philosophy, diagrams and databases.
• Develops automation/tele-protection concepts and related schematics.
• Ensures compliance with IMS policies and reporting of incidents.
