Santos Knight Frank is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to support hotel engineering operations in Pasig. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.
Responsibilities include routine inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, life-safety systems monitoring, coordinating with contractors, and timely response to maintenance requests.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems throughout the property.
Respond promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests while minimizing disruption to the guest experience.
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and public spaces to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
Maintain and troubleshoot pool, spa, laundry, boiler, and related equipment, where applicable.
Monitor, inspect, and maintain life-safety systems, including fire alarms, fire sprinklers, emergency generators, emergency lighting, and exit lighting.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective corrective measures.
Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions.
Coordinate with other departments and external contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable safety standards, building codes, and property procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests, colleagues, vendors, and contractors.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance issues as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering leadership team.
3–5 years of engineering or maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, luxury hospitality, or high-end residential environment.
Must be a licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
Experience with pool/spa equipment and boiler operations is an advantage.
Trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related disciplines are preferred but not required.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment specifications, and basic engineering documentation.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices and life-safety systems.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Strong customer service skills and confidence interacting professionally with guests.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Physically capable of performing maintenance duties, including standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working in confined or elevated areas when required.
