Job summary

Okada Manila is seeking an Engineer – Technical Response (FOH Response) to lead maintenance operations for the hotel, restaurant, and surrounding areas. You will address engineering concerns, supervise preventive projects, and ensure safety and compliance with maintenance procedures.

The role requires a civil/mechanical/electrical engineering or architecture background, with 3–5 years in hotel or building engineering, and strong communication skills. On-site work in Metro Manila is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Project/Site/Construction Engineer or supervisor in hotel, casino & resort contexts.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; proficiency with CAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Engineer – Technical Response (FOH Response) will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in Hotel rooms and assigned Areas. The Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and equipment.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Planning / Project Control / Reports / Operations / Personnel:

• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds
• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
• Responds to all building related safety concerns
• Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures

Operations:

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Personnel:

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture. Registered License Holder of this discipline, With Master's degree (advantage but not required).

Experience Requirement:

• 3 – 5 Years experience as a Project / Site / Construction Engineer, Hotel / Building Engineer or any Supervisory Experience in a Construction related company or Hotel, Casino & Resort experiences.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent Technical knowledge in Hotel Operations and Construction related job and assignments, Including Coaching, Supervision, Staffing, Project, and Management Proficiency.
• Excellent in oral and written communication skills, CAD Software skills, Engineering Drawings, Plans and MS OFFICE Knowledge.
