The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of hotel rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces. The role focuses on preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, while addressing guest maintenance requests promptly and safely.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work overnight shifts, and a detail-oriented approach to safety and quality.
Inspect the hotel's rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces regularly.
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
Handle minor repairs like fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and repairing furniture.
Respond quickly to guest complaints about maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures or malfunctioning equipment).
Ensure all guest room amenities, such as air conditioning, lighting, and appliances, are working properly.
Carry out basic electrical repairs like rewiring outlets, replacing light fixtures, and fixing power issues.
Repair plumbing problems, including leaks, clogged drains, and faulty water systems.
Check fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting regularly for safety.
Maintain proper chemical levels in the swimming pool and spa.
Create and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for hotel equipment and infrastructure.
Work with outside contractors for specialized services (e.g., elevator maintenance, pest control).
Monitor and evaluate contractors' work to ensure it meets hotel standards.
Track energy usage and suggest ways to improve efficiency, such as using energy-saving equipment.
Provide regular maintenance updates to hotel management.
Skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on safety.
Must be able to stand for long hours for rotating and overnight shifts.
