Job summary

Electronic Security Systems Corporation (ESSCOR) is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead security systems projects in Metro Manila. The role requires hands-on leadership of managers, engineers, and site teams to deliver multi-site deployments on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of PM experience in ELV/ICT/security projects, PMP credential, and a solid background in IT/networking fundamentals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline is acceptable.
• Postgraduate studies in Management, Engineering Management, or MBA is an advantage.
• Professional Certification such as PMP is an advantage.

Experience:

• 5–7 years of project management experience, preferably in electronic security systems, ELV/ICT/structured cabling, or technology-driven construction and infrastructure projects.
• A minimum of 5 years project management experience is strictly required with no exceptions for candidates with less experience.
• Specific experience in electronic security systems projects is essential and candidates must have direct hands-on experience in this field.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing multiple concurrent projects, including Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams.
• Proven experience in end-to-end project lifecycle management, including large-scale or mission-critical systems, contract administration, variation and claims management, and client-facing roles involving executive-level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to recover delayed or high-risk projects, lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Systems Support, Finance), and deliver projects under tight schedule and cost constraints.

Role Accountabilities:

• Project Delivery - Ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and on budget.
• Resource Management - Optimize manpower allocation and utilization across all assigned projects.
• Cost Control - Track and control project expenditures and manage variation orders.
• Client Satisfaction - Maintain a strong working relationship with clients and key stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance - Enforce QA/QC compliance and documentation protocols.
• Team Development - Mentor, train, and assess performance of direct reports.
• Reporting - Provide timely project updates, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leaders.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of security systems solutions, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm systems, and integrated security platforms.
• Expert-level technical knowledge of security systems is mandatory and candidates must demonstrate comprehensive understanding of all security system components and integration.
• Solid understanding of IT and infrastructure concepts, including physical and virtual servers, operating systems, networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, bandwidth planning), and cybersecurity considerations for security systems.
• Proven ability to review and validate system designs, bills of materials (BOMs), and architecture diagrams; interpret technical drawings, schematics, and integration workflows; and assess system readiness, including IT infrastructure, licensing, firmware, and compatibility.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, risk management frameworks, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight & Execution

• Develop and implement project execution strategies, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee delivery of all assigned security system projects.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, scope, and contractual requirements.
• Lead project planning, resourcing, procurement coordination, and scheduling.
• Monitor project KPIs, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.

2. Team Management

• Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively and balance workloads across multiple projects.
• Conduct regular project reviews and performance evaluation through team meetings and formal assessments.

3. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as the senior escalation point for clients and key stakeholders.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships by ensuring requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain regular coordination with stakeholders, including internal departments and external vendors.
• Ensure the timely submission of reports, schedules, and project closeout documentation.

4. Budget & Cost Control

• Oversee and control project budgets, expenses, and overall cost performance.
• Monitor financial performance and implement effective cost control measures.
• Review change orders, variation claims, and billing milestones.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment and manage project resources efficiently.
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely billing and collection.

5. Quality, Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections, site audits and internal reviews to verify workmanship and documentation accuracy.
• Address and resolve issues or discrepancies related to quality compliance and safety in a timely manner.

6. Risk Management

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee risk management processes and lead issue resolution efforts.
• Ensure risks and corrective actions are properly documented.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Review and approve project reports and closeout documentation.
• Lead post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, correspondence, and progress.
