Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting for a Governance, Project Delivery, and Technical Advisor based in Taguig. The role serves as the Client's representative, overseeing governance, performance, and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

The role involves site visits to Leyte and Botolan, monthly travel, and close collaboration with the Head of Power Generation (Asia) and management team to support investment decisions and asset optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in governance and project delivery for renewable energy projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and HSSE requirements.
• Experience coordinating with boards, management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Governance and performance oversight for Greenlight JV and related commitments.
• Monitor project execution including schedule, budget, QA/QC and HSSE with the PM team.
• Guide takeover readiness, punchlist completion, and ensure EPC requirements are met for handover.

About The Role

This role serves as the Client'srepresentative, overseeing the performance, governance, and execution of renewable energy projects. The position ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet technical and operational requirements while supporting investment decisions, stakeholder approvals, and asset performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance and Business Performance

• Act as focal point of Shell in the Greenlight JV, maintain overall line of sight on JV business performance commitments and the management of its key risks/opportunities. Highlight areas where value is at risk and recommend interventions if required.
• Support the Shell JV Governance Team and GL CEO/ManCom in preparations for decision-making relating to Committee, Board, and Shareholder meetings and approvals.

2. Project Execution Monitoring

• Maintain line of sight on ongoing projects from head office and via regular site visits, including adherence to project schedule, budget, technical QA/QC, and HSSE in collaboration with the project management team.
• Provide regular insights, remedies to management, and guidance to site team. Support JV Governance team influence Execution performance improvement, monitoring, and visibility.

3. Takeover readiness and punchlist completion

• Maintain line of sight on testing and commissioning/energization progress and challenges, and provide guidance as needed.
• Maintain line of sight on progress of punch-lists finalization and inspection/validation activities, ensuring Employer’s requirements are met prior to take over from EPC.

4. Operations Readiness and Asset Performance

• Maintain line of sight on site O&M readiness.
• Support O&M Team in assessing asset performance and optimizing energy generation as aligned with KPIs.

5. Project Screening, Pipeline Maturation and Investment Readiness

• Support prioritization of projects in the pre-development phase, including technical screening, selection, and design optimization of pipeline projects.
• Provide quality assurance with respect to the overall evaluation of projects to be proposed for development and investment decision (project appropriately de-risked). Coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure that financial model used for economic evaluation is sound and that assumptions used are appropriately validated.
• If needed, support de-risking and validation of technical aspects of each project for investment approval and financial closure, including capacity, generation, CAPEX, OPEX etc assumptions
• Coordinate shareholder approval of investment decision proposals.
• Provide inputs and recommendations on key contracts (i.e. PPA, Land Agreements, Development Service Agreements, Key O&M contracts, EPC contract).
