Job Description
Technical Leadership & Engineering Management
- Lead all engineering and technical functions across project lifecycle—concept design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Establish technical standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Oversee resource planning for engineering teams and external technical consultants.
- Provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams including operations, regulatory, and commercial.
Project Development
- Identify, evaluate, and develop renewable and conventional energy project opportunities (e.g., solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, battery energy storage, LNG, etc.).
- Lead feasibility studies covering technical, environmental, regulatory, and financial aspects.
- Manage the permitting and regulatory approval processes, ensuring compliance with Philippine laws (DOE, ERC, DENR, LGUs, grid operators).
- Coordinate with EPC and OEM partners for design optimization, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
- Support bid preparation for government auctions, tenders, and private sector procurement.
Commercial & Business Strategy
- Work closely with the commercial team to structure project contracts and supply agreements.
- Assess technical and financial risks to support market entry, pricing strategy, and project valuations.
- Provide inputs for project financing and investor presentations, including technical documentation required by banks and lenders.
- Collaborate in the preparation of investment memos for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead technical due diligence for project acquisitions, joint ventures, and portfolio expansions.
- Evaluate target assets’ engineering integrity, performance expectations, CAPEX/OPEX, and technology selection.
- Coordinate with legal and financial teams during M&A negotiations to ensure alignment of technical assumptions and risks.
- Develop integration plans for acquired assets to align with company standards and performance targets.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders—government agencies, technology providers, contractors, consultants, financiers, and local partners.
- Negotiate and manage joint ventures, consortium agreements, and strategic alliances.
- Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory meetings, and technical workshops.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Develop high-performing technical and project teams through coaching, training, and recruitment.
- Establish clear KPIs for project performance, engineering quality, and cost control.
- Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
