Job Description: Project Support Services (PSS) – Project Manager / Project Support
Position Summary
The Project Support Services (PSS) professional is responsible for the full life-cycle management of telecommunications projects within the assigned region. The role oversees project planning, site delivery, schedule and cost control, subcontractor coordination, risk management, quality and safety compliance, and project acceptance and handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with operator clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Project Life-Cycle Management
Manage the full project life cycle within the assigned region, from project planning through site delivery, acceptance, handover, and project closeout.
Ensure project implementation complies with contract requirements, approved schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
Coordinate project resources and site activities to support successful and timely delivery.
2. Project Planning & Schedule Control
Develop regional project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and milestone schedules.
Monitor and track site execution progress against approved project timelines.
Identify schedule deviations and delays and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare and issue weekly and monthly project reports, including status updates, deviation analysis, accomplishments, and recovery plans.
3. Client, Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
Liaise with operator clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams regarding project requirements and deliverables.
Conduct on-site coordination and confirm project requirements and implementation details.
Manage project changes and ensure proper communication and documentation of change requests.
Resolve on-site issues, operational concerns, and client-related matters in a timely manner.
Build and maintain strong and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
4. Cost & Financial Management
Monitor and manage regional project costs and budget utilization.
Handle and track advance payments, Purchase Orders (PO), invoices, and payment processes.
Maintain accurate project financial records and project ledgers.
Monitor variations, additional work, and extra costs to prevent budget overruns.
Support proper budget execution and cost-control measures throughout the project.
5. Resource, Quality & Safety Management
Manage internal project teams and coordinate subcontractor manpower requirements.
Monitor on-site resource allocation and workforce performance.
Supervise compliance with project quality and safety requirements.
Support site inspections and ensure identified issues are properly addressed.
Drive site acceptance activities and ETR handover requirements.
Monitor and close outstanding punch-list items and project issues.
6. Risk & Issue Management
Identify potential project risks related to schedule, cost, resources, quality, safety, and client requirements.
Develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation plans.
Escalate critical project risks and major issues to management when necessary.
Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of project concerns.
7. Contract & Project Documentation
Support coordination of contract extensions and other project-related contractual requirements.
Ensure proper filing and maintenance of project documents and records.
Maintain accurate documentation for project progress, changes, financial transactions, acceptance, and handover.
Ensure project documentation is complete before project closure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Telecommunications Engineering, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of Project Management experience in telecommunications infrastructure or base-station projects.
Experience in PSS projects or telecommunications operator projects is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of end-to-end project management processes, including:

Proficient in preparing and managing WBS, project schedules, project ledgers, and progress reports.
