Job summary

Fortuna Mining Corporation seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support sand supply operations for the Buaya River Restoration Project. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in project coordination, construction, mining, logistics, or sand supply operations.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day sand supply operations under the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate hauling, transport, dispatch, and delivery schedules to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Monitor field activities for safety, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare regular reports and maintain accurate delivery, inventory, and project documentation.

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, monitoring, and implementation of sand supply operations for the Buaya River Restoration Project of San Miguel Aerocity Inc. (SMAI). The position ensures that project activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. The Assistant Project Manager acts as the Project Manager's representative during his/her absence and assists in maintaining effective communication among stakeholders, contractors, transport providers, and regulatory agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project Operations
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day implementation of sand supply operations.
  • Coordinate daily hauling, transportation, dispatch, and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted project operations.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify delivery accuracy, material quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions to address operational issues and minimize project delays.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the secondary liaison with SMAI representatives regarding project schedules, delivery requirements, and operational concerns.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transport contractors, government agencies, and local authorities to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Ensure timely communication between field personnel and project management regarding project status and issues requiring immediate attention.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accomplishment reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, dispatch schedules, inventories, equipment utilization, and project documentation.
  • Assist in consolidating reports required by management and clients.
  • Monitor compliance with permits, environmental requirements, and government regulations.
Planning and Monitoring
  • Track project timelines, delivery targets, and operational milestones.
  • Assist in forecasting material requirements and scheduling deliveries.
  • Monitor project performance indicators and recommend process improvements.
  • Support inventory monitoring to ensure continuous availability of required sand materials.
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and client requirements.
  • Participate in safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project operations and operational efficiency.
Leadership
  • Supervise Project Coordinators, field personnel, and logistics staff as delegated by the Project Manager.
  • Provide guidance and operational support to ensure team productivity and accountability.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Project Manager during approved absences.
Other Duties
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Project Manager or Senior Management.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
Experience
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, construction, mining, logistics, reclamation, dredging, or sand supply operations.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role is preferred.
