Job description

We are looking for a Project Site Engineer to oversee the day-to-day technical execution of an assigned project work package on-site — translating approved construction drawings, specifications, and schedules into safe, compliant, and on-schedule work in the field. The role sits at the front line of project delivery, coordinating manpower and materials, identifying design-to-field discrepancies before they escalated into RFIs or rework, enforcing quality and safety standards, and managing day-to-day contractor relationships through clear, documented, and appropriately escalated communication. The Project Site Engineer is expected to exercise sound field judgment and recommend resolutions to their immediate superior, while reserving final decision-making on commercial, contractual, and design matters to the appropriate authority.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution and Coordination

• Facilitate full site execution plan for a project work package end-to-end – manpower loading, material scheduling, work sequencing – and recommends resolution on intertrade conflicts and site challenges for review and consideration of her immediate superior to keep the project on track.

Project Implementation Technical Oversight

• Understands construction drawings at a level where he can catch design-to-field discrepancies before they become RFIs or rework. Oversees quality, safety, and technical progress and recommends actions to resolve any issues encountered.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Facilitates and leads QA process on-site, not just inspecting, but enforcing. Understands the applicable laws and regulations and applies these consistently and does not hesitate to stop a work that does not meet specifications, regardless of contractor pushback.

Stakeholder and Contractor Management

• Facilitates contractor relationships with basic level of authority – issues site instructions confidently, documents scope disputes clearly, escalates only genuine commercial or contractual decision rather than interpersonal friction.

Safety, Health, and Environment Compliance

• Consistently practices and enforces basic SHE requirements in his immediate work area: PPE compliance, housekeeping, barricading, toolbox attendance. Calls out unsafe acts when he sees them, regardless of whether the worker is a direct report or a contractor laborer.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
• Professional membership with a recognized body is an advantage

Experience

• 2-3 years of progressive experience in construction supervision (residential and land development projects) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle QS responsibilities from pre-construction through to final account.
• Willing to be assigned full-time on active project sites, including exposure to standard construction site conditions.

Technical Competencies

• Working knowledge of the National Building Code, OSHS/DOLE safety standards, and applicable local permitting requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and marking up construction drawings (architectural, structural, and basic MEP).
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project) and AutoCAD is an advantage.
