Job summary

DATEM Incorporated in the Philippines is seeking an experienced QA/QC professional to lead quality assurance and control for residential/high-rise projects. The role requires an engineer with a valid PRC license, a BS Architecture degree, and 8+ years of QAQC leadership experience.

The candidate should be proficient in reading plans, performing material tests, preparing QAQC deliverables, and coordinating with subcontractors. Willingness to be stationed in Panglao, Bohol is essential.

Qualifications

• BS Architect graduate
• Professional Engineering License (PRC) at time of application
• Materials Engineer 1 or 2 certified is a plus
• Minimum 8+ years of QAQC experience
• QAQC experience in residential/mixed-use high-rise construction
• Worked on at least 2-3 high-rise construction projects

Responsibilities

• Review all plans and technical specifications.
• Manage and track all inspection activities and coordinate with third party laboratory for material testing requirements.
• Prepare all material submittals, reports and other QAQC deliverables required for review and approval.
• Monitor and follow-up with TSG the required shop drawings for approval.
• Review, approve and maintain all project quality system records.
• Monitor site implementation of revisions based on approved site instructions.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports to sub-contractors with corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly QAQC meetings with subcontractors' inspectors.
• Strictly implement the production of quality outputs.
• Ensure project handover is on time or ahead of schedule.
• Enforce company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction of QAQC personnel.
• Prepare Weekly and Monthly QAQC Reports.
• Accurately assess subcontractor quality and on-time performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to commence work within 2 weeks.

Job description

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review all plans and technical specifications.

• Manage and keeps track of all work inspection activities and coordinates with third party laboratory for material testing requirements.

• Prepare all material submittals, reports and other QAQC deliverables required for review and approval.

• Monitor and follow-up with TSG the required shop drawing for approval.

• Review, approve and maintain all project quality system records.

• Monitor site implementation of any revisions based on the approved site instruction of the consultant and management team.

• As necessary, issue Non-Conformance Report to all sub-contractors with regards to workmanship and quality issues and provide corrective action to prevent recurrence.

• Conduct weekly QAQC meeting with the sub-contractors' inspectors to discuss the possible solution concerning to quality control issues and construction schedule.

• Strictly implement the production of quality outputs.

• Make sure that project hand over is within or ahead on time schedule.

• Enforces company policies, procedures and monitors compliance to quality and safety standards.

• Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QAQC personnel.

• Prepares Weekly and Monthly QAQC Reports.

• Accurately assess subcontractor's quality and on-time performance.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

• Must be available to commence work within 2 weeks.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Location: Willing to be assigned in Panglao, Bohol

Educational Attainment

• BS Architect graduate

• Candidates must possess a Professional Engineering License (PRC) at the time of application.

• Materials Engineer 1 or 2 certified is a plus.

Work Experience

• Candidates must have a minimum of 8+ years of QAQC experience.

• QAQC experience may include a mix of individual contributor and leadership roles.

• Experience must be specifically in residential/mixed-used high-rise construction projects.

• Candidates must have worked on a minimum of 2-3 high-rise construction projects.

Skills Required

• Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Knowledgeable of material testing requirements and procedures.

• Ability to read and understand construction plans.

• Ability to interpret instructions, either written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
