Prowater Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the step-by-step design and site construction for pumping stations, water treatment plants, and sewage treatment plants.
The role covers requirements analysis, CAD modeling with AutoCAD Plant 3D, equipment selection, and documentation, followed by on-site supervision and testing until handover. Candidates should have 5–8 years in water infrastructure projects, a Mechanical Engineering degree and PE license preferred,
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in construction oversight and the design of water and wastewater treatment systems. You will lead the step-by-step mechanical design, planning, and site construction execution for pumping stations, water treatment plants (WTP), and sewage treatment plants (STP)
Phase 1: Requirements & Analysis – Review project specifications, flow capacities, and regulatory standards to calculate fluid dynamics, pressure drops, and equipment sizing.
Phase 2: Conceptual & Schematic Design – Develop initial mechanical concepts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for water and waste networks.
Phase 3: Detailed Engineering & CAD Modeling – Create comprehensive 2D/3D layouts using tools like AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar modeling software for piping, ductwork, and equipment placement.
Phase 4: Equipment Selection – Select efficient pumps, valves, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing systems tailored to municipal or industrial waste demands.
Phase 5: Technical Documentation – Prepare bills of materials (BOM), technical datasheets, and design calculation reports for procurement and regulatory compliance.
Oversee mechanical installation activities on-site to ensure strict alignment with approved design drawings and contract documents.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing teams to resolve clashes and streamline on-site workflow.
Review contractor submittals, inspect mechanical equipment delivery, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
Conduct site safety checks and enforce compliance with local and international engineering codes (e.g., ASTM, NFPA).
Plan and execute hydrostatic testing, flushing, and mechanical run-tests for pumps and piping networks.
Troubleshoot system anomalies during plant commissioning and hand over fully operational assets to facility management teams.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Professional Engineer / Registered Mechanical Engineer license preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of total engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused specifically on the design and construction of water supply, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D or specialized piping design software.
Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, rotating equipment (pumps/blowers), and piping networks.
Working knowledge of international and local construction codes and safety standards.
Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional coordination, problem-solving abilities, and clear written/verbal communication skills.
