Job summary

A global insights company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee project coordination for quantitative and qualitative research projects. This role involves budget management, vendor negotiations, and close collaboration with teams across regions. The position is currently fully remote, transitioning to a hybrid setup once a local office is established. Successful candidates should have robust project management skills, outstanding attention to detail, and strong Excel capabilities. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years minimum experience in project management.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research is required.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and budget oversight.
  • Excellent attention to detail and Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, pivot).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and work with AI.

Responsibilities

Job description

Overall Purpose and Responsibilities of the Role

As Project Manager, your primary responsibility is managing all project coordination and field activities for quantitative and qualitative research projects. This includes responsibility and oversight of budget management, ensuring timely project completion, and coordination with stakeholders such as clients, research teams, and vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning: outlining the timeline, developing the budget, and determining the resources required.
  2. Resource Management: managing and negotiating with vendors, determining and obtaining the appropriate equipment and materials required for a successful project.
  3. Budget Management: monitoring and controlling expenses and proactively managing costs to ensure the project stays within the budget. Negotiating with vendors frequently to secure lower costs and preferable contract terms.
  4. Project Monitoring: managing project performance against the project plan, identifying and independently resolving issues, and taking corrective action to ensure the project stays on track.
  5. Quality Control: Ensuring that the project meets high-quality standards, which includes adhering to research methodologies, maintaining accurate data, and complying with the company’s standards.
  6. End-to-End Project Execution: Managing the full project lifecycle from kickoff to delivery for both quantitative and qualitative studies, ensuring all phases are executed according to established processes and timelines.
  7. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with the Project Management Lead, VP of Field Operations, and global PM teams across the US and Philippines to ensure alignment, smooth handoffs, and consistent project delivery.
  8. Global Vendor Management: Conducting frequent vendor negotiations, managing ongoing vendor relationships, and coordinating monthly check-ins to secure competitive pricing and ensure consistent performance.
  9. Contract Support: Assisting in reviewing and coordinating contracts, including negotiating terms and ensuring compliance, performed under the supervision of senior leadership.
  10. Client & Internal Communication: Participating in select client calls as needed, while primarily coordinating with internal stakeholders through efficient communication via email and MS Teams.
  11. International Collaboration: Working with teams, vendors, and stakeholders across the US, Europe, and Asia to support multi-region project requirements and timelines.
Requirements

Skill Set Required

  • 3–5 years minimum experience in project management.
  • Must have experience with both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Marketing research background is highly preferred, but other industries are acceptable if project management, vendor negotiation, and budget oversight skills are strong.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Strong Excel skills, including data cleaning, formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements), and basic pivot tables
  • Experience managing and negotiating vendor relationships to optimize spend and deliver against budget targets
  • Strong internal/external client management skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and judgment in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Time management, managing tasks effectively, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Problem‑Solving: must be able to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively.

  • Decipher, data collection platform
  • Monday.com project management tool
  • Global experience – working with teams & vendors overseas.
  • For product procurement and fieldwork (quant & qual)

Job type: Permanent

Emp type: Monday to Friday, 9 PM to 6 AM Philippine Time

Location: Fully remote setup until a local office is established; once established the setup will be converted into a hybrid setup, 2 to 3 days onsite per week.
