Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Metro Manila is seeking an accomplished Quality Engineering Leader to define and implement QE strategies, governance, and testing frameworks across large programs. You will drive end-to-end testing, risk-based priorities, and maintain quality gates for production readiness.

You’ll mentor QA teams, collaborate with product, development, and project stakeholders, and champion automation with Playwright/Selenium while aligning with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Duties and Responsibilitie

• Quality Engineering Leadership
• Define and implement quality engineering strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Establish quality goals, testing frameworks, and governance processes across projects.
• Promote a quality-first culture throughout the SDLC.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Project & Test Management
• Lead end-to-end testing for large-scale programs, projects, and releases.
• Develop and manage test plans, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, Regression, Performance, and End-to-End Testing.
• Ensure testing milestones are met and project risks are proactively managed.
• Define the right testing approach per program using risk-based/impact-based prioritization.
• Team Leadership (delivery-facing)
• Lead and mentor the QA engineers/leads on the programs day to day.
• Foster collaboration between QA, development, business, and project teams.
• Coordinate delivery across offshore and onshore teams and managers.
• Governance, Reporting, Defect & Risk
• Monitor testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality status.
• Present quality updates, risks, and recommendations to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with the organizational quality standards and audit requirements.
• Oversee defect lifecycle from identification through resolution.
• Assess quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure production readiness through quality gates and release criteria.
• Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary quality representative across project teams.
• Partner with Product Owners, BAs, Architects, Developers, and Program Managers.
• Drive UAT readiness, stakeholder engagement, and solution validation.
• Communicate project status, quality insights, and recommendations effectively.
• Automation & Innovation
• Champion test automation strategies and continuous testing.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies.
• Support CI/CD integration and DevOps quality initiatives.
• Drive adoption of modern QE methodologies.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for automation (framework design, Playwright/Selenium, code/test-design review).
• Champion AI-assisted testing and evaluate emerging AI/LLM tooling.

Non-negotiable/Required

• Experience managing multiple technology projects within the financial services industry involving planning/tracking, budget management, issues resolution, conflict management, resource management, status reporting, quality enforcement, and management of multiple vendors. Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
