Job summary

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of work experience in QA/Testing leadership.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• Quality Assurance Certification(s) advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of QA management, project management and governance.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Define testing standards, entry/exit criteria, defect severity classification, and release gating controls.
• Audit compliance and establish release quality index.
• Monitor defect trends and implement preventive quality controls.

JOB SUMMARY

The QA Manager isresponsible for enterprise-level quality governance, testing standards, andrelease assurance across all IT initiatives. The role ensures quality risks areproactively identified and mitigated prior to production deployment. The role is responsible for managing the QA Team and the end-to-endprocess of software testing from different platforms. The role is expected to plan,implement, and manage varying forms of Software Quality Analysis and Testing toand from different platforms, applications, and / or environments.

The Primary Focus of the QualityAssurance Unit Head are Enterprise-Level Quality Standards, Risk Control, andQA Capability.

Specific areas ofresponsibility are Quality Accountability and Governance, Portfolio-LevelOversight, People and Capability Management, Stakeholder and ExecutiveInterface, and Strategic Planning.

  • Oversee coordination withdifferent stakeholders to gather QA/testing and ensure its availability,integrity, and completeness. He/she must ensure the wholeness of the testing.Oversee the communicationof quantitative and qualitative findings from testresults to proper entities.
  • Oversee all QA testinginitiatives, activities, and/or projects.
  • Review and own bestpractices for all software quality assurance and testing projects, includingmethods, automation tools, templates, scripts, and other materials needed fortesting. Own and implement preventative and corrective actions to ensure thatquality assurance and standards are achieved. Draft and implement qualityassurance policies and procedures.
  • Oversee planning, creation,conceptualization, design, gathering, doing, acquisition and ensure allresources for testing are available and ready. Create, develop, and identifyprocedures and scenarios for the quality control of software, packages,services, and alike.
  • Ownership of the management of risks and potential impacts of the whole testing life cycle forthe entire team. Oversee and ensure the success of testing of the team bydirectly validating results.
  • In-depth understanding ofQA and testing cycles, including but not limited to process flow, scripts,automation tools, etc.
  • Lead and manage the entireQA team and its outsourcing.
