Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale civil engineering projects in Manila. You will coordinate activities, manage documentation, and lead diverse teams to ensure delivery within schedule and budget. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, a strong background in marine works, and at least 10 years of project management experience. This role requires relocation for those based outside Manila.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale civil engineering projects.
• At least 5 years focused on marine works such as dredging and reclamation.
• Experience in risk assessment and contract administration.
• Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical and engineering works, environmental impact assessments, tender preparation, site supervision, and contract administration.
• Strong technical competence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
• Willing to accept project-based employment and be assigned in Manila.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities and manage documentation.
• Supervise the project team to meet Employer's requirements.
• Report progress and lead regular meetings to strategize delivery.
• Report project progress to senior management and lead regular meetings to strategize efficient delivery.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to address challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure cohesive execution.
• Manage all phases of the project from design to completion, optimizing resource use and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with approved methodologies and procedures.
• Maintain project cost/change controls and budget records.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure alignment with the project schedule.
• Support change order estimation and assist in managing change requests.
• Review contractor construction schedules and progress reports.
• Prepare and review weekly/monthly reports on contract status, costs, and potential changes.
• Assist the Regional Director in identifying business opportunities and supporting client engagement.
