Job summary

Surbana Jurong seeks a Civil Engineer with 3+ years in large-scale infrastructure or reclamation projects to support PMs in Manila. You will help plan, monitor schedules and budgets, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure compliance with approved methodologies.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential. The role is project-based with potential for long-term opportunities within a global engineering and development consultancy, aligned with Surbana Jurong’s standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or reclamation projects.
• Experience in planning and managing civil works that include dredging, reclamation and rock works as well as wharf and jetty construction.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proactive team player with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Willing to be assigned to Manila and work on project-based employment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist project lead/PM to manage and ensure successful completion within schedule, cost and quality.
• Assist PM to resolve contract-related matters for delivery and closure.
• Ensure work is performed per approved methodologies and procedures.
• Maintain and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
• Attend progress/ad-hoc meetings with client and contractors; provide weekly/monthly progress updates.
• Document important actions and decisions from meetings.
• Prepare presentation materials for meetings and senior management.
• Ensure project deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative support as needed.
• Undertake project tasks as required.
• Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained.

• Assist the project lead / project manager to resolve contract related matters for project delivery and closure.
• Assist the project lead / project manager to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved methodologies and procedures.
• Maintain and manage project plans, project schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
• Attend progress/ad-hoc meetings with client and contractors and manage progress updates to the client on weekly and monthly basis.
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings and senior management.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor/master’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized and reputable university.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure or reclamation projects.
• Preferably past working experience in planning and managing civil engineering construction works that include dredging, reclamation and rock works as well as wharf and jetty construction Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills Proactive team player with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and resourceful.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
