Job summary

CHINT NEW ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking an experienced project engineer/manager to lead solar power project execution from site to turnover.

The role involves coordinating engineering, procurement, HSSE, and QA/QC teams to ensure milestones are met and safety standards are upheld. You will supervise daily construction activities, manage budgets and resources, and liaise with EPC contractors, regulators, and local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of solar power projects in coordination with engineering, procurement, HSSE, and QA/QC teams.
• Manage project timelines, scope, resources, and budget to meet milestones and delivery targets.
• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure progress is aligned with the project plan.
• Oversee coordination with EPC contractors, owner’s engineers, local suppliers, and LGUs.
• Enforce safety standards and environmental compliance as per DOLE, DENR, and local regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and lead regular progress and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure quality control through the review of inspections and test plans, inspection reports, work inspection re, and punch lists.
• Coordinate permitting, interconnection activities (NGCP, DU, electric coops), and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve change orders and manage contract-related correspondence.
• Support testing, commissioning, and turnover of the facility in alignment with O&M readiness.
• Prepare reports for management and clients regarding progress, risks, and corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a safety and performance-driven site culture.
