Job summary

Manila Water Company, Inc. is seeking a proactive on-site Construction Supervisor to oversee daily activities, ensure safety, and maintain quality in line with design specifications.

You will interpret engineering drawings, coordinate with contractors and internal teams, and monitor progress, materials, and reporting to support timely project completion. Fieldwork is required; candidates must be willing to travel to site locations, have a valid driver's license with manual transmission ability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years' experience in construction or related field.
• Willing to do fieldwork.
• Must have a driver's license and be able to drive a manual transmission car.

Job description

Role Purpose:

Oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule and meets quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and plans to guide contractors and workers.
• Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Assist in monitoring and managing the project progress, material utilization and other project resources for efficient operation
• Coordinates efforts with applicable stakeholders (contractors, construction manager, project manager, MWC internal support teams) to ensure awareness, share information and provide updates and escalation as necessary to resolve issues relating to the project.
• Address on-site technical challenges and coordinate with design teams for solutions.
• Validate the accuracy of the Work Accomplishment Report (WAR) submitted by the contractor for monitoring and billing purposes
• Ensure that these are submitted and approved before the commencement of any activity
• Assists in project close-out through preparation and consolidation of close-out documents such as-built plans, acceptance certificates, testing and commissioning results, handover certificate to end-users, etc.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must be willing to do fieldwork
• Must have a driver's license and must know how to drive a manual transmission car
