The role requires hands-on site leadership, strong knowledge of electrical codes, and experience with QA/QC, testing, and handover procedures.
Location: Dumaguete City Inctallation projects
Job Type: Full-Time
The Project-in-Charge (PIC) oversees the daily technical, operational, and administrative execution of commercial & industrial (C&I), or residential solar PV projects. The PIC serves as the primary liaison between project managers, field engineers, contractors, and client representatives, ensuring that installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to standard engineering quality.
Direct and supervise all daily site activities, subcontractors, installation teams, and equipment deployments.
Enforce compliance with technical drawings, Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), structural designs, and local grid/electrical standards.
Conduct regular Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) inspections covering DC/AC wiring, inverter/transformer installations, structural mounting, and civil works.
Monitor project milestones, track progress against the baseline schedule, and proactively resolve site-level bottlenecks.
Enforce strict Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines across the site (e.g., LOTO, working at heights, electrical isolation).
Coordinate site inspections with local utility companies, regulatory bodies, and municipal authorities for permitting, net-metering, or grid interconnection approvals.
Maintain daily site logs, incident reports, progress documentation, and material usage tracking.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, land owners, and sub-contractors on-site.
Oversee material logistics, inventory receipt, storage security, and quality incoming inspections for solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and Balance of System (BOS) components.
Assist in managing change orders and variations in scope at the site level.
Lead cold and hot commissioning activities, including string testing, insulation resistance testing, IV-curve tracing, and thermal imaging.
Compile standard As-Built documentation, testing logs, and punch lists for final client handover.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on site management experience. It will be a plus if you have hands‑on site management experience in solar PV system installation (C&I or Utility-Scale).
Certifications: Registered/Licensed Engineer preferred; OSHA / Health & Safety certification is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading SLDs, architectural drawings, and structural blueprints.
Familiarity with local electrical codes and solar industry standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
Working knowledge of testing equipment (Megger, multimeter, power quality analyzer).
Software: Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD (viewing/editing), and MS Office.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work in field conditions and travel as required by project locations.
