Job summary

MacroAsia Properties Development Corporation (MAPDC) in Iloilo is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil) to lead on-site project management, supervise civil works, and ensure QA/QC for the 50 MLD Water Treatment Facilities and distribution network in Pototan.

The role requires a PRC-licensed Civil Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, proficiency in AutoCAD/MS Project, and a proven ability to drive contractors to tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must be PRC-licensed Civil Engineer.
• 3–5 years of experience in large-scale heavy civil infrastructure, structural concrete works, or earthworks.
• Experience in bulk water treatment facilities, pumping stations, or hydraulic structures is a major advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or relevant civil engineering design software.
• Strong knowledge of the National Building Code of the Philippines, structural concrete engineering standards, and soil/foundation mechanics.
• Confident in driving civil contractors to hit tight infrastructure timelines.
• Proactive in resolving local site constraints, topography challenges, and right-of-way issues during pipeline laying.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead technical civil authority on-site, supervising daily civil works, excavation, concrete pouring for water-holding structures, and heavy foundation works.
• Monitor and inspect the installation of transmission lines and distribution pipe networks passing through local municipal off-takers (Pototan, Sta. Barbara, Pavia, Iloilo City, etc.).
• Interpret and evaluate structural, hydraulic, and civil engineering drawings. Cross-reference shop designs with real-time site constraints.
• Implement rigorous QA/QC metrics, ensuring mandatory hydrostatic leak testing for concrete water basins and compliance with civil design standards.
• Manage sub-contractors, equipment deliveries, and civil material procurement workflows to prevent project bottlenecks.
• Maintain detailed daily site logs and prepare Weekly Progress Reports mapping structural milestones for the MacroAsia/NEWS executive management team.

About the role

The role will oversee the construction phase of the project and ensure strict alignment with structural engineering specifications, civil designs, timelines, and safety guidelines.

About you

• Experience in bulk water treatment facilities (WTP), pumping stations, or hydraulic structures is a major advantage.

• AutoCAD, MS Project, or relevant civil engineering design software proficiency.

• Strong command of the National Building Code of the Philippines, structural concrete engineering standards, and soil/foundation mechanics.

• Confident in driving civil contractors to hit tight infrastructure timelines.

• Proactive in resolving local site constraints, topography challenges, and right-of-way issues during pipeline laying.
