Job summary

R-II Builders, Inc. seeks an experienced Project Director to lead the development and execution of a Waste-to-Energy project in the Philippines.

You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and compliance with budget and schedules. The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of power generation and EPC management, and the ability to coordinate with government agencies and suppliers to deliver the project safely and on time.

Qualifications

• PME or PEE qualification preferred.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in power generation, EPC project management, or energy infrastructure development.
• Experience managing large-scale power plant or Waste-to-Energy projects is required.
• Knowledge of Philippine regulatory and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all phases of project execution, from planning to handover.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, quality assurance, and risk management.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the development and implementation of a Waste-to-Energy project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project delivery, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, budget and schedule management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all phases of project execution, from planning and engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, quality assurance, and risk management.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, technology providers, and relevant government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical and operational issues, and report performance to senior management.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) or Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in power generation, power plant construction, EPC project management, or energy infrastructure development.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale power plant or Waste-to-Energy projects.
• Previous Power Plant-related project experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, project management, technical coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Knowledge of applicable Philippine regulatory and environmental requirements.
