As the Project/Field Coordinator, you will play a key role in the successful implementation of AEP's BFF-Ligtas project in Southern Leyte, which aims to strengthen disaster preparedness for farmed animals, particularly livestock and poultry, in disaster-prone communities.
Reporting directly to Animal Empathy Philippines (AEP), you will work closely with the research team and serve as the primary link between AEP, the research team (VSU), the Provincial Government of Southern Leyte, municipal and barangay local government units, farmers, and other project stakeholders.
You will help ensure that project activities are implemented smoothly, that stakeholders remain engaged and informed, and that field operations are responsive to the local context. This includes facilitating coordination with government offices, organizing field activities, supporting data collection and stakeholder consultations, and providing timely updates to AEP on project progress and challenges. Given the project's community-centered approach, the role requires someone who understands the local language, culture, and institutional dynamics of Southern Leyte and can build productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
If you enjoy working with diverse groups of people, coordinating multiple activities, and building relationships across government, research, and community settings, this role may be a good fit for you.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in the field, navigating local government processes, and engaging with farmers and other stakeholders in a respectful and collaborative manner. You should be organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities while keeping AEP and the research team informed of developments on the ground. We value someone who can communicate effectively in the local language, understand the perspectives of different stakeholders, and help translate project plans into practical, well-coordinated activities.
