The Head of Project Management & Construction Management (PMCM) – Hotels will lead the technical services delivery for all hotel and hospitality developments across the conglomerate’s portfolio. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of hotel projects—including new builds, major renovations, re-brandings, and asset enhancements—from pre-development and design review through construction, testing, commissioning, and hotel handover to operators. Serving as the key technical partner to the Hotel Business Unit (BU), the PMCM Head ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, to exact quality and safety standards, and in strict compliance with international hotel operator brand standards.
1. Leadership & Strategic Technical Advisory
Serve as the strategic PMCM leader and technical authority for all hospitality projects within the technical services division.
Build, mentor, and direct a team of Senior Project Managers, Construction Managers, and MEPF PMCM.
Collaborate with the Hotel BU leadership to align project delivery strategies with long-term brand expansion, pipeline growth, and ROI objectives.
2. Pre-Development & Design Management
Provide an overall Master Schedule for the life-cycle of the project that shall be approved by the BU and followed by the project team.
Manage design reviews across architectural, interior design, structural, and MEPF engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with the Hotel Operator Brand Standards.
Oversee value engineering (VE) initiatives without compromising guest experience, operational efficiency, acoustic requirements, or brand compliance.
Facilitate mock-up room approvals (Mock-up Unit / Mock-up Room) before full-scale construction rollout.
3. Procurement & Contractor Management
Develop project execution plans, contracting strategies and procurement plans.
Direct the tendering, technical evaluation, and selection of contractors, specialist subcontractors, and third-party consultants (ECM).
Ensure robust contract administration, claims prevention, and contractor performance management.
4. Construction Execution & Quality Control
Oversee site construction activities, ensuring strict enforcement of safety (HSE), quality management (QA/QC), and schedule controls.
Manage high-complexity hospitality trades, including specialty MEP systems (centralized systems, energy management systems, life safety systems, acoustics, hotel IT/AV, hotel specialty facilities, and commercial kitchen setups).
Monitor progress and ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports by the Project Managers and External Construction Managers.
Escalate issues resulting from variances against baseline schedules and recommend implementing proactive mitigation measures for critical path delays.
5. Financial Management & Commercial Control
Establish baseline project budgets in coordination with Cost Management / Quantity Surveying teams.
Manage overall capital expenditure control, cash flow forecasting, variation orders, and final account closures.
Present monthly project progress, financial performance, risk registers, and milestone achievements to executive management and the Hotel BU.

Construction Management, Architecture, 1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong focus on hospitality/hotel builds 3. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of hotel operations, MEP systems, and premium FF&E/OS&E procurement workflows. Proficiency in project scheduling and cost management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or Primavera P6). 4. Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, high emotional intelligence (EQ), sharp commercial negotiation skills, Experience: 15-20 years of experience in construction project management
