Job summary

WSP USA in the Philippines (Pasig) seeks an experienced Civil Designer to contribute to large-scale Australian civil projects from our Manila hub. You will design earthworks, roads, drainage, and infrastructure using 12D Modelling and AutoCAD Civil 3D, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include producing drawings, ensuring design accuracy, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining compliance with AS/NZS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• A current Civil Engineer registration is mandatory.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.
• Experience on Australian civil projects is preferred.
• Proficient in civil design and drafting with recognized software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out civil design and documentation per technical standards.
• Produce accurate, timely project documentation for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and disciplines.
• Mentor and guide other Civil Designers in the team.
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance with design intent.
• Adhere to drafting standards and company policies.

What you'll do:

• — Carry out assigned civil design and documentation as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards;
• — Contribute to our current civil engineering projects through the provision of accurate and timely delivery of documentation; — Communicate effectively with all external (multidisciplinary consultants) and internal (managers, engineers, colleagues etc.), and;

• — Checks work of subordinates as to accuracy and adherence to the civil design intent and assumptions.

• — Perform quality reviews of documentation to ensure it is within relevant standards
• — May evaluate staff performance in line with HR procedures
• — Works towards continuous improvement of team skills and processes
