Job summary

RLG ELECTRO MECHANICAL TRADING CORP in Laguna is seeking an immediate-joiner Mechanical Engineer for a fixed-term project to own mechanical systems design, HVAC, piping, and equipment installation while ensuring compliance and on-site execution.

You will review CAD drawings, supervise installation, coordinate with sub-contractors, perform safety audits, and troubleshoot design clashes to keep the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on project-based mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Execution: review and approve CAD drawings, mechanical schematics, HVAC layouts, piping specs.
• On-Site Supervision: oversee installation, commissioning and testing of MEP systems to standards.
• Contractor & Vendor Management: liaise with sub-contractors to meet specs and schedule.
• Quality Assurance & Safety: perform safety and quality audits per OSHA/local codes.
• Troubleshooting: address design clashes quickly to protect schedule.

Job Summary

We are looking for an immediate-joiner Mechanical Engineer for a fixed-term project contract. The ideal candidate will take ownership of mechanical systems design, HVAC, piping, and equipment installation while overseeing technical compliance and on-site execution. You must be able to hit the ground running, solve technical bottlenecks under tight deadlines, and coordinate closely with cross-functional project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Execution: Review, validate, and sign off on CAD drawings, mechanical schematics, HVAC layouts, and piping/plumbing specifications.

• On-Site Supervision: Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical machinery and HVAC/MEP systems to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

• Contractor & Vendor Management: Liaise with sub-contractors and vendors to ensure technical specs are met and long-lead materials arrive on schedule.

• Quality Assurance & Safety: Perform regular safety and quality audits, ensure adherence to OSHA/local codes, and document daily site progress.

• Troubleshooting: Address design clashes or field deviations quickly to keep the project timeline on schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Licensed/Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in project-based mechanical engineering (construction, industrial, or MEP preferred).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SolidWorks, or pipe stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II).

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to operate under pressure, and effective site communication.

• Availability: Must be able to start immediately or within a 1-week notice period.
