Job summary

Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to work with the Production Senior Supervisor to meet quality and output targets during the shift through proper scheduling and resource use.

The role requires leading and motivating subordinates, promptly addressing abnormal situations, and ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA regulations across the shift. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any Engineering degree.
• At least 2 years work experience in a manufacturing company or similar industry.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and train staff, manage conflicts, and foster a productive work environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues under pressure and make fast, logical decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report to management and instruct workers.
• Strict with adherence to health and safety regulations (OSHA)
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Production Senior Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring that quality and quantity targets set are achieved throughout his shift through proper scheduling and use of resources, motivates and supervises subordinates, recover from abnormal situations and ensures the safety in the work areas covered
• Initiate and leads safety, quality, productivity and other improvement activities related to his process.
• Troubleshoot all problems related to his process and provide countermeasure and corrective actions.
• Ensures that all the required production data and results are recorded and maintained covering his shift's operation.
• Ensures that the company rules are followed by his subordinates and conducts disciplinary proceedings in case of violations.
