Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, forecast, and available capacity.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address shortages, delays, or priority changes.
- Ensure alignment of production plans with customer delivery commitments.
Materials & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
- Monitor material shortages and escalate risks that may impact production schedules.
- Support inventory control by balancing production requirements vs. inventory levels.
Order & Capacity Management
- Review customer orders, forecasts, and changes, translating them into executable production plans.
- Analyze machine, manpower, and line capacity to ensure feasible scheduling.
- Support line loading and capacity planning, especially for SMT, Assembly, and Final Test operations.
Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Track production output versus plan and identify root causes of variances.
- Prepare and submit production status reports, backlog reports, and on‑time delivery (OTD) metrics.
- Participate in daily production meetings to provide planning updates and corrective actions.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Sales to resolve planning and execution issues.
- Coordinate engineering changes impact on production plans and materials.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) planning activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, workflow, and scheduling efficiency.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality systems (e.g., ISO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in production planning or production control, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience in SMT, PCBA, or electronics assembly operations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control principles.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
